Dhlakama in presidential race

    JOHANNESBURG

    A group of 11 Mozambican opposition parties have nominated Afonso
    Dhlakama, the leader of opposition party RENAMO, as their sole
    presidential candidate in the country's forthcoming general elections, news reports said.

    The parties also agreed that they will contest the elections on a single opposition list, arguing that this would be "the best form that the parties found to dethrone the ruling FRELIMO party".
