Inflation likely to go up

Recent fuel price increases and a forecast rise in civil service salaries are expected to put an end to the drop in inflation levels recorded during the past three months, according the latest Citi Bank newsletter. The independent daily, 'The Post', quoted the report as saying: "All these factors point to an upward trend in the price of goods and services and therefore inflation, and in view of the foregoing we expect the level of inflation to assume an upward trend." Inflation stood at 28.5 percent in March.
