France has provided Mali’s government with some US $6.8 million to pay bonuses to cotton farmers, finance economic recovery and strengthen a poverty-alleviation programme, PANA reported on Tuesday. The bonus plan was implemented to boost cotton production, one of Mali’s main source of income, PANA said.
