More than 120 new cholera cases reported

    JOHANNESBURG

    Health authorities in South Africa’s eastern KwaZulu-Natal province have reported 128 new cholera infections since Tuesday, SABC reported. This brings the total number of cases since the outbreak in August to more than 7,480. So far 40 people have died and at least 277 people remain hospitalised. The authorities said at this stage it was virtually impossible to make predictions on when the disease will be fully contained because of the rapid manner in which it can spread.
