Christian aid food crisis report

    NAIROBI

    Christian Aid on 8 September released its food crisis report for the Horn and East Africa. The report examined the overall current situation in Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Kenya. In addition, it briefly discussed the peace efforts made by the United Nations in bringing to a halt the two-year border war between Ethiopia and Eritrea. UN Secretary-Kofi Annan recently informed the Security Council that 19 member states from around the world were ready to contribute troops to the United Nations Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea. The report also offered partners news of food aid reaching Bale Zone in the Oromiya State, a 12-hour drive from Addis Ababa.
