International support for the Zimbabwe economy is unlikely without economic stability and recovery from a “perceived” negative international image, Trade and Industry Minister Nkosana Moyo said on Wednesday.
“International support is unlikely to come back until certain fundamental issues are addressed,” he said at the opening of a national export conference.
Zimbabwe’s economy and reputation have suffered in the wake of countrywide farm invasions by landless blacks pressing the authorities to resettle them, he said. “We, all of us, are in this mess together,” Moyo stressed.
