Denmark to seek compensation

    ABIDJAN

    Denmark said this week it would demand full compensation from the Zimbabwe government if commercial farms in the country owned by Danish citizens were expropriated for the resettlement of peasants, ‘The Financial Gazette’ said on Thursday.

    Danish ambassador Erik Fiil was quoted as saying that his government would press for full compensation, including the value of the soil in line with an investment protection agreement signed between Zimbabwe and Denmark in 1996.
