Chiluba and Kabila to meet in Windhoek

    ABIDJAN

    Talks between Zambian President Frederick Chiluba and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Laurent-Desire Kabila have been moved to the Namibian capital Windhoek, news reports said on Wednesday. The talks were originally scheduled to take place in the southern DRC town of Lubumbashi.

    “The president’s trip to Lubumbashi in the DRC was cancelled because it was found economical to hold consultations in Windhoek, Namibia, where both Presidents Chiluba and Kabila will be attending a SADC (Southern African Development Community) meeting,” Zambian Presidential Affairs Minister Eric Silwamba said in a statement.
