UNICEF and World Vision, an NGO, have agreed that jointly they will rehabilitate 20 schools and implement the Rapid Response Education Programme (RREP) in the Southern Province town of Bonthe. At least 7,000 children are expected to benefit by the end of the year, according to UNICEF.
The UN agency and its other partners are trying to integrate amputee children and the children of amputees, living in the Murraytown camp for internally displaced persons (IDP), into nearby schools by the next term.
