Debt relief worth US $460 million

    ABIDJAN
    The World Bank Group’s International Development Association (IDA) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have agreed to suppport a debt reduction package worth around US $460 million under the enhanced Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative, a World Bank news release said on Tuesday. Benin’s eligibility for debt relief is a recognition by the international community of the progress made in implementing economic reforms, the news release said.
