Zambia prepares for meeting with aid donors

Zambia is to host next month’s consultative meeting with the Paris Club of international donors, a spokesman for the finance ministry was quoted as saying in news reports on Wednesday. The usual venue for such a meeting would be Paris. Chileshe Kandeta was quoted as saying that participants at the four-day meeting scheduled to open on 16 July would decide on balance of payment support to Zambia. The meeting will also review Zambia’s economic performance, assess poverty reduction strategies, public sector reforms, monetary and fiscal policies of the country, Kandeta said.
