UN peacekeepers kill suspected thief

    ABIDJAN

    Up to Thursday there were no reports of fighting involving UN troops, the UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) reported. However, UN peacekeepers killed one person on Wednesday night when they intercepted a group of people trying to steal fuel in the port area. The group opened fire when challenged by the UN patrol and the peacekeepers returned their fire, UNAMSIL said.
