Mbeki to visit Zimbabwe

    JOHANNESBURG
    South African President Thabo Mbeki is to pay a state visit to Zimbabwe in the first week of next month, presidential spokesman Parks Mankahlana told IRIN on Monday. Mankahlana said that the visit to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe "had been in the offing for quite some time" and that at this stage "no further details were available about the visit". "No agenda has been finalised, and issues discussed will depend and Mr Mbeki and Mr Mugabe," Mankahlana said.
