President wants world convention on repatriation of stolen money

    ABIDJAN
    Nigeria has called for the establishment of an international convention to deal with the repatriation of funds stolen from developing countries, state-owned radio reported on Sunday. In his appeal at a state banquet in his honour in Berlin, Germany, Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo said the convention should be placed under UN authority and have powers to override national laws which are in conflict with its provisions.
