British police to assist assassination probe

    JOHANNESBURG
    A team of British Scotland Yard police investigators will assist Zambian authorities in their investigation of the murder of former President Kenneth Kaunda’s son, Wezi, news reports said on Monday. A spokesman of the ministry of home affairs said the British government had agreed to help with the investigation following a request by the Kaunda family. Wezi Kaunda was shot dead outside his hom in the Zambian capital, Lusaka, on 3 November. Two suspects appeared in court to face charges and have been remanded in custody.
