The US-based International Medical Corps says it will close down all its operations in Angola and remove expatriate staff by the end of June.
A spokeswoman for the UN Humanitarian Assistance Coordination Unit (UCAH) in Angola told IRIN that the decision by the aid group was largely because of a lack of funding. The relief agency had been providing medical assistance to people in the provinces of Huambo, Lunda Norte, Moxico and Uige.
