Mozambique's stock exchange which is expected to start trading later this month or early in June has been given a boost by the launch of government bonds worth an estimated US $5 million. According to AFP, the country's leading brewery, Cervejas de Mozambique, is the only company so far to qualify for listing. It said that the government is currently holding
negotiations with other companies, especially those in which the
government held shares.
