Ethiopian, Sudanese leaders hold talks in Djibouti

President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan and Prime Minister Meles Zenawi of Ethiopia held talks in Djibouti in which they discussed problems in the region, the fighting between Ethiopia and Eritrea as well as Somalia, Sudanese state media reported on Sunday. The reports said the two "agreed on numerous issues", while Bashir said the two "sat for a long time", discussing bilateral issues and how to normalise them." The two leaders had travelled to Djibouti for the inauguration of Djibouti president Ismael Omar Gelleh. Sudan and Eritrea had signed an agreement to improve relations the previous weekend.
