IMF talks delayed until next year

    JOHANNESBURG
    The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says that it has decided to postpone negotiations with the Angolan government until next year, media reports said. According to reports in the Angolan media, the IMF complained about difficulties in accessing necessary data. An IMF analyst was quoted as saying: “To have results at the end of the year, it is necessary that there is an agreement in January.” Discussions have centred around issues of transparency and payments of public debt.
