Caprivi policemen accused of torture to face military tribunal

    JOHANNESBURG

    Policemen accused of torturing people after the separatist attack on the Caprivi town of Katima Mulilo in Northern Namibia, could face a military tribunal, ‘The Namibian’ reported on Monday.

    A senior policemen was quoted as saying: “Their case might be heard under the Defence Act because under the state of emergency the Defence law was prevailing.” he added: “Whatever goes to the Prosecutor General will depend on the merits of each case.”
