Nine reported killed in rebel ambush

    NAIROBI
    Nine people, including two international UN staffers, were reported killed by rebels in Burundi’s southern Rutana province on Tuesday, UN and Burundian sources told IRIN. The incident was said to have occurred in a road ambush at Muziye commune while humanitarian workers were conducting an assessment mission. Some assessment team members sought refuge in a nearby sugar processing enterprise at Gahofi. No further details were currently available.
