Uganda agrees to stop hate media campaign

A meeting between Rwandan and Ugandan officials last week agreed to set up joint committees to “ensure the objectives that took us to the Congo are realised”, Rwandan radio reported. Secretary-General of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) Charles Murigande, who met high-ranking officials in Kampala, told journalists on his return that discussions also focused on the Kisangani-based Radio Liberte, accused of broadcasting “hate propaganda” towards Rwanda. He said the Ugandans agreed to do “everything possible” to stop any hate campaign against Rwanda, and vice versa.
