Canadian generals to testify at UN probe

Two Canadian generals, who headed the UN defence team and the UN peacekeeping force during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, will appear before a UN inquiry probing the organisation’s response to the events. Dallaire reportedly faxed messages to New York months before the massacres started, warning of the onslaught and describing his plans to intervene, the paper reported.
