I think you'll find the lyrics are actually 'Love is a battlefield' not 'battleground'. I'm not particularly proud of being a sad 80s child, but I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who remembers this song!

I am not in Mexico, I am in Durban. But thank you for this good page. I wish there was more more more!!! Good stories, and I like the blogs, they are so funny and real. I work for an HIV/AIDS NGO, and I agree, it really is time we looked at pleasure. Why run away from it? Thanks again

In your article on diabetes and hypertension in Congo, you mention that they are chronic hereditary diseases. Not so. They are clearly also much affected by the foods we eat and the lifestyle we lead (ie salty, fatty, sugary foods, lack of exercise, obesity, etc). Genetic predisposition is only part of the cause. WHO estimates that there will be more people with these diseases of the affluent than others such as malaria etc in the very short term.
