From 1 September, campaigners from over 100 countries join The Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) for 50 days of action against poverty and inequality. This year the campaign is timed to coincide with a series of political opportunities in September and October.

The 50 days of action will culminate in Stand Up and Take Action (17-19 October) when millions of people are expected to call for an end to poverty and inequality reports CIVICUS the World Alliance for Citizen Participation. Last year an estimated 43.7 million people participated in the campaign.
