Four things from IRIN this week

IRIN/PlusNews released a new in-depth package this week: AIDS in Chad – the neglected crisis. Our new in-depth examines the issues through a series of feature reports, audio clips, a photogallery and links and reference material - shedding light on a neglected emergency.

If you have not filled out our online survey, it’s wrapping next week. We are trying to improve our range of services and would still love to hear from you. Here is the link again – IRIN audience survey. If you prefer, use French and Arabic versions. The whole survey is very easy and completely anonymous.

IRIN released a new short documentary film: Between Hope and Fear. Between Hope and Fear follows one family’s journey home from neighbouring Uganda, where they lived for years as refugees. Their home area in Equatoria had been under constant threat of attack by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).

Another short documentary Love, Positively follows the lives of four young adults living in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, who were infected at birth but, against the odds are alive and well. It explores some of the challenges they faced growing up with HIV and how they view their future lives and current relationships.
