Electoral commission refuses to endorse results

    JOHANNESBURG
    Some members of the Malawi Electoral Commission have refused to endorse the results of the 15 June election, media reports said on Friday. According to PANA four commissioners have refused to sign because of alleged irregularities in the polling process. But officials have played down the significance of the issue. “What the commissioners are required to do is sign the final results report but for record purposes only,” said elections officer Roosevelt Gondwe.
