President Pierre Buyoya on Wednesday inaugurated Burundi’s new Mwaro province, the state news agency reported. The new mid-western province comprises six communes: Bisoro, Gisozi, Kayokwe, Rusaka, Ndava and Nyabihanga. Buyoya introduced Nestor Niyungeko as the governor of the country’s 16th province.
