ECOMOG said to control central Freetown

Freetown was calm Thursday night after fighting in the eastern Kissy neighbourhood died down, the missionary news service MISNA said today. Reuters reported that troops of the Nigerian-led ECOMOG regained control of central Freetown yesterday. ECOMOG says it nows control the whole city, news agencies reported today.
