LAGOS

Italian priest Carlo Masseroni, who was shot in the head last Thursday by suspected rebels, is recovering at the Nairobi hospital in Kenya, contrary to earlier reports that he had died. The 75 year-old priest was shot at close range at his parish in Gatsinda, in Mwumba commune, Ngozi province by suspected rebels demanding cash. “He is in a stable condition,” a nurse at the Nairobi hospital told IRIN on Wednesda
