President stops use of local HIV vaccines

    ABIDJAN
    President Olusegun Obasanjo has ordered the suspension of the use of all locally-made drugs and vaccines pending the outcome of an inquiry by a presidential committee into HIV/AIDS cure claims by some Nigerian doctors, ‘The Guardian’ reported on Friday. “The report of the committee is being awaited. If the report comes out and gives credence to any of the claims, this will be one of the greatest blessings to our country,” Dr Tim Menakaya, Minister of Health, told reporters in the capital, Abuja.
