High court to examine voting records

Zimbabwe’s high court has said that it will examine voting records to see whether supporters of the ruling ZANU-PF voted more than once in last month’s parliamentary elections.

According to media reports, the court is acting on an urgent application which was filed by the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). Court officials are to examine 36 voting registers from the Mazowe East district in Mashonaland Central Province to see whether names were struck off at more than one polling station.
