Another opposition leader enters presidential race

    NAIROBI

    Beleaguered Civic Union Front (CUF) member, Naila Jidawi, at the weekend joined the presidential race for Zanzibar on a National Convention for Construction and Reform - Change (NCCR-Mageuzi) ticket, the ‘Guardian’ reported. Jidawi’s membership of the CUF was reinstated by the High Court after being expelled earlier this year. She will be contesting against the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) candidate Amani Abeid Karume and CUF’s Seif Shariff Hamad.
