Taiwanese head visits subregion

    ABIDJAN
    Taiwanese head Chen Shui-bian arrived on Monday in Burkina Faso, after visiting The Gambia, as part of a three-nation tour that will also take him to Chad, news organisations reported. Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported that both President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia and his Burkina Faso counterpart, Blaise Compaore, have expressed support for Taiwan’s bid for UN membership.
