Oil exploration deal with Nigeria

    ABIDJAN

    The governments of Sao Tome e Principe and Nigeria have agreed to set up a joint oil exploration zone along their sea border, news organisations reported on Tuesday. The agreement capped a visit to Sao Tome on Monday by Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo. "The two presidents agreed to establish a zone of joint exploitation to be overseen by a joint commission," LUSA reported São Tome Foreign Minister Joaquim Rafael Branco as saying.
