The Angolan government was doing everything possible to ensure the release of eight Portuguese citizens and two Angolans being held hostage in the Cabinda enclave, Angolan Interior Minister Fernando da Piedade dos Santos "Nando" told the Portuguese radio station RDP/Africa on Friday.
Nando was the first Angolan government official to comment on the kidnappings by FLEC/FAC (Front for the Liberation of the Cabinda Enclave/Armed Forces of Cabinda) and FLEC Renovada (FLEC Renewed).
