CCM leader in Pemba murdered

    NAIROBI

    The ruling CCM’s secretary-general in Pemba island’s Chake Chake constituency, Rashid Omar Ali, was killed recently by unknown people who slashed him with machetes. “He died as a result of losing a lot of blood from his wounds, especially those inflicted to his head,” the Tanzanian newspaper ‘Nipashe’ quoted assistant commander in southern Pemba, Haji Abu Kificho, as saying.
