Mandela to meet Kabila

Former South African President Nelson Mandela is to meet new Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Joseph Kabila next week for talks on regional peace, Mandela’s office said in a statement on Wednesday. “Mr Mandela will meet with President Kabila on Tuesday, February 13 in Kinshasa,” the statement said. It added that Mandela had also invited Kabila to the next round of Burundi peace talks to be held in the northern Tanzanian town of Arusha on 26 and 27 February the statement said.
