The representative of the Assistance and Social Reintegration Ministry in Huila province has appealed to NGOs and the country’s institutions to assist the more than 300 internally displaced persons (IDPs) arriving daily in Kuvango in the east of the province, ‘Radio Ecclesia’ reported on Wednesday. The report said that the IDPs were fleeing from UNITA rebel-controlled areas. ‘Radio Ecclesia’ said that the IDPs also reportedly included soldiers.
