Coalition seeks clean polls in 2002

    ABIDJAN
    A coalition of 37 opposition parties in Mali plan to coordinate efforts towards ensuring that presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for 2002 would be free and fair, the Missionary Service News Agency (MISNA) reported on Tuesday. The coalition wants amendments made to current electoral regulations and submitted to the public through a referendum within six months.
