Voter registration begins on Monday

    ABIDJAN

    Voters will be registered from 29 January to 27 February in Chad and at Chadian embassies, AFP reported authorities in Ndjamena as announcing on Tuesday. This is in preparation for presidential elections due in May 2001, AFP reported. Legislative polls, due in March, were postponed for one year in December 2000 because of Chad’s financial difficulties.
