Airline cancels flight to Kinshasa

Meanwhile, Kenya Airways on Thursday cancelled its flight KQ 435 which was scheduled to depart Nairobi in the morning for Kinshasa at the last minute, the airlines’ official confirmed to IRIN on Friday. “It was cancelled basically because of the uncertainty in the DRC following news of the death of President Kabila and the fact that the airport was closed,” the official explained. “We hope that next week everything will be fine.” There are reports that several other airlines have also suspended their flights to Kinshasa.
