The Polisario Front, fighting for independence of Western Sahara from
Morocco, has described plans by the organizers of the Paris-Dakar rally to
stage part of the race on the disputed territory as a "serious provocation",
a French news agency report said on Wednesday.
"It is irresponsible and security cannot be guaranteed, Seddik Malainine,
spokesman of the movement based in Algeria was quoted as telling an Algiers
newspaper, 'Le Matin'.
