Dialogue facilitator meets Kabila

Meanwhile, the facilitator of the inter-Congolese negotiations called for in the Lusaka ceasefire agreement said he had made little progress during his latest visit to Kinshasa, news agencies reported. The facilitator, former Botswana President Ketumile Masire, arrived in Kinshasa on Thursday and met with Kabila on Saturday. “I consulted with the Congolese people, but they have not given me the answers I was looking for,” Reuters reported Masire as saying on state television on Sunday. “They do not agree on the location for the dialogue...At the same time, the international community has not produced the funds which it promised to give,” Masire said.
