A magistrate investigating corruption in Mali has received death threats, AFP reported. Amadou Ousmane Toure, republican prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Bamako, said the threats had come “by mail and via the Malian justice ministry”. “I take these threats seriously but they won’t stop me doing my work,” he told AFP. The magistrate has already been successful in bringing top officials to justice in the fight against corruption, AFP noted.
