President urges respect for rule of law

    ABIDJAN

    President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah on Monday appealed to everyone in Sierra Leone to obey the rule of the law, saying that “law enforcement agencies have been instructed to deal swiftly with violators of our laws.”

    Kabbah, who said in a broadcast to the nation that the “exact whereabouts of Corporal Foday Sankoh have not yet been determined”, attended an emergency West African summit in Abuja, Nigeria, on Tuesday to discuss the escalating crisis in his country.
