Ruling party chooses its presidential candidate

    ABIDJAN
    The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday endorsed Vice-President John Atta Mills (56) as its candidate for Ghana’s presidential elections scheduled for December, the state-owned Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) announced at the weekend. The incumbent, President Jerry Rawlings, is not eligible for reelection, having served two successive terms as elected president.
