Demonstrations against judiciary

Zimbabwean human rights and civic organisations are planning demonstrations next month in support of calls for an international investigation into allegations of corruption in the judiciary, news reports said. The demonstrations are planned for 9 February when protesters will march to the police chief’s office, President Robert Mugabe’s office and the Supreme Court. Marchers will also hand a petition to the President’s office demanding an end to the death penalty and the immediate suspension of all pending executions of condemned prisoners.
