Mozambicans deported

    JOHANNESBURG
    South Africa has deported about 1,600 illegal Mozambican immigrants since the beginning of January, the South African Broadcasting Corporation reported on Friday. In a brief dispatch, it quoted the police commander as saying they had been apprehended in a joint police and army operation, which involved road blocks and intensive border patrols.
