This picture is taken at night. We can see two cars parked on the right side of a road, behind them is a police car. Stood against the first car are three individuals with two police officers searching them.

  • The police use 'Stop and Search’ operations at the main streets entering the gang-controlled barrios. These operations allow the police to inspect all vehicles and passengers without probable cause. These tactics are reminiscent of the state of emergency in which the urban areas spiral into quite frequently and accordingly the emergency of violence generates sufficient probable cause to require such measures. 07/07/2023.
